The Republic of Mauritius is a multi-cultural nation in the Indian Ocean, and one of the leading tourist destinations in the World. More than 1.5 million people visit Mauritius every year, virtually doubling the local population.
The most popular sport in Mauritius is soccer and the national team is known as The Dodos or Club M.
Known as a poor country, in recent years the development indicators are formidable. Thirty-seven consecutive years without a recession; more than 5% average annual growth between 1977 and 2009; GDP per capita increased from less than a thousand to almost 7 thousand dollars in just over thirty years while Gini’s index was falling, a sign that the benefits were not concentrated in the usual happy few of certain African plutocracies and that a middle class has formed.
In this socio-economic context, Remy Mabillon CEO of Necker Gestion Privée has decided to equip the island with a multisport sports centre that meets the expectations of this ever-growing number of people.
What we did
Remy wanted to choose the best for his club, and it is no coincidence that the choice fell on WSBSPORT.
A stone’s throw from the Grand Baye, easy to reach and surrounded by nature, the centre has been equipped by WSBSPORT with 2 indoor football fields with the latest generation no-infill synthetic grass, 2 padel courts with 12 mm safety glass, and a multisport pitch.
Inside the complex there is also a gym, a fitness hall, a high-quality restaurant and extra-luxury changing rooms for a refined clientele.
Practising premium sport in an ideal place is the company motto.
