Oujda sports infrastructure is composed of a municipal stadium, an Olympic venue, the Honneur Stadium of Oujda, the sports complex ‘Rock’ including a rugby stadium, a tennis complex in the park Lala Aicha and a golf course and two sports halls.
5-a-side was started by Ibrahim Ammari in 2016. The facility, supplied by Wsbsport, suddenly became a must-go in the city, bringing Ibrahim’s decision to invest in a larger sports complex that includes more 5-a-side fields as well as a panel.
Once again, we have given our support to this new, ambitious creation.
What we did
We assisted with preparatory groundworks and the design of the foundations for the fields. For the 5-a-side fields, it was decided to make curbs for fixing the walls and side poles, while the floor was made with stones, to allow vertical water drainage, and a layer of surface sand to regularize imperfections and give a 0.6% slope that contributes to the disposal of rainwater, avoiding excessive saturation of the subsoil.
The fields are 5 m high and have a size of 26×17 m with standard goal doors of 3×2. The structures that compose them are all hot-dip galvanized. For the colouring of the sandwich panels, orange was chosen which, together with the glossy black of the structures, reflects the colours of the sports centre logo.
